Dave Martin

“Dave” has lived in Maryland his entire life. He has been married to his wife, Deborah, for more than 35 years. They have one child, Christopher, and a daughter-in-law, Jessica, and their first grandchild, Finley Grace, born in August 2014. They moved to Jarrettsville in 1987 to raise Chris in a rural environment. After Chris and Jess were married their careers took them to Washington, D.C. area for employment. Dave and Debbie decided to downsize. After looking in Annapolis, Ellicott City, Havre de Grace and Frederick, they fell in love with the quiet, historic and scenic lifestyle of Havre de Grace. They moved to Havre de Grace in November 2012.

He retired from the Maryland State Police in August 1994. He was employed 14 years with Fortune 500 companies (Proctor & Gamble, Esttee Lauder and Home Depot/HD Supply) and for the last 6 years, he has owned and operated an independent employee’s benefit consulting firm specializing in helping employers of all sizes.

“Historic Havre de Grace is the epicenter of our local economy. My goal for Havre de Grace is to Retain small businesses and to Attract new small businesses to the existing vacant storefronts.
