We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Governor Larry Hogan for coming to Havre de Grace last evening and celebrating First Fridays with us.
Governor Hogan, led by Mayor Martin through our Arts and Entertainment District, was impressed to see the greatest parts of our city, including The Culture Center at The Opera House, the American Legion, live entertainment (including Governor Hogan participating in a drum circle) and most importantly, the opportunity to meet several of our volunteers and artists who make our city thrive.

Announcement of Public Hearing

The Mayor and City Council of Havre de Grace will hold a Public Hearing in the City Council Chambers, 711 Pennington Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD on
July 16, 2018 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comment on the proposed Ordinance 1008 which concerns the City Code Chapter 67; Ethics.  A copy of the proposed Ordinance 1008 is available for review at City Hall.

Week of June 25th- Test Borings for new Rail Bridge

This public service announcement is to alert residents about activity in the area of Juniata and Otsego Street and Union Ave.
A contractor will be performing geotechnical borings for the planned railroad alignment through Havre de Grace starting the week of June 25th.  This will take place largely between Juniata Street and Otsego/Union Avenue at the waterfront, but some will occur in the area of Lewis Lane.  Many of these borings will be performed at night on the high-rail itself, when train traffic is reduced.

Above the Influence is an alcohol and drug education program targeted to youth in grades 6-12. Based on the Office of National Drug Control Policy’s Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign, Harford County’s Above the Influence program is inspired by surveys from local teens, revealing details about their lives and how they deal with the influences that shape their decisions.

On behalf of the citizens of Havre de Grace, I would like to thank each and all military spouses for their service. As part of a Great American Defense Community, we have many wonderful military families living in our city. I am proud to say I know many of them personally. The Police Department will be participating in the Immanuel Quickley All Star Game being held at Havre de Grace Activity Center on April 28th at 3:00 pm. Admission is 5.00 dollars with the proceeds going to HdG Parks and Rec and the HdG Boys and Girls Club.
