Tasked with shaping the brilliant minds of our future, schools stand as prominent centerpieces in our community providing the foundation for opportunity and a sense of pride. It’s with deep regret we announce the passing of Retired Air Force Colonel and City Planning Director Willard “Neal” N. Mills.
Col. Mills was a graduate of Havre de Grace High and the University of Missouri. He later received a master’s degree in political science from Auburn University, and a master’s degree in management from Webster University.

On Sunday, February 25, 2018, Harford Magazine announced Mayor Martin won the category of Best Elected Official for 2017 Best of Harford Contest

The Best of Harford Contest is sponsored by Harford Magazine. Category winners were selected by popular votes cast between September, 24 and November, 17, 2017. Over 12,000 people voted in the contest.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Maritime Museum for their grant award to restore the shoreline riparian buffer.  Watch for more improvements to the shoreline many of which will include informational signage to enlighten visitors on purpose and partnerships involved with shoreline and runoff improvements as we strive to keep our waterways clean. 
The City has 100% design for Lilly Run Phase I, Wetland Enhancement near the current Middle School.  Watch for next steps.  Construction will begin this year.
