The City of Havre de Grace is pleased to announce it is partnering with Harford County Office of Recycling to collect used or leftover Christmas Cards. This clever idea, spearheaded by Harford County’s Recycling Specialist Wendy Doring, offers a new life to Christmas Cards that may have just ended up in the trash or recycling bin. Ms. Doring shares, “The Office of Recycling is planning a Christmas in July event that will have children making wooden ornaments decorated with used Christmas cards. We need as many as we can get!”

The City of Havre de Grace is pleased to announce a partnership with the charitable organization, Vietnam Veterans of America. Beginning Friday, December 15, 2017, select household items scheduled for the City’s Bulk Collection Program will be set aside when we find they are in decent condition. Gently used chairs, tables, lamps, bedframes, etc. will now go to veterans who can use it rather than going into the Landfill!
