MESSAGE FROM MAYOR WILLIAM T. MARTIN REGARDING TRASH COLLECTION. 

I have learned directly from many citizens and firsthand that several neighborhoods in our City did not receive their regularly scheduled trash collection this week. As soon as I knew of this problem, I directed my staff to investigate this matter and, more importantly, make sure the issue gets resolved right away.  After speaking with our trash collectors, we were informed that they experienced a mechanical malfunction that delayed their ability to collect trash throughout the city.  The problem is being corrected, and your trash will be collected as soon as possible. I would like to apologize to the citizens for any inconvenience they may have caused.
