Statement from Mayor William T. Martin on promoting Joe Conaway Acting Director of Public Works

On January 3, we said goodbye to our friend and colleague, EJ Millisor, the Director of Public Works, who is leaving the City of Havre de Grace to pursue a new opportunity. EJ served our city with exceptional leadership and dedication to our citizens.

On January 6, I promoted Joe Conaway to the position of Acting Director of Public Works. In this role, he will oversee the Department of Public Works. Joe began his career with the city in 1999, and throughout his 25 years of service, he has shown remarkable dedication and commitment to our community.

I want to express my gratitude to Joe for accepting this position, and I am confident that he will continue to do outstanding work for our city. I also want to thank the City Council for supporting this decision during our meeting on Monday evening.
