There will be no parking along the parade route from 11 am-6 pm. The parade route is along Union Avenue from Warren Street to Commerce Street. In the area of Concord Point Lighthouse, there will be no parking from 11 am-midnight. Below is a map showing all the areas that will be affected by no parking and areas that will be blocked by barricades, police, and event staff. Handicap parking will be available on Lafayette Street. The former Harford Memorial Hospital parking garage on Union Avenue will not be available for parking, but the hospital is allowing the public to use their parking lot behind the hospital on Washington Street on July 5th for Independence Day. You should expect heavy traffic, so we recommend you leave early, and try to carpool with family and friends. You could also park in an area further away and walk. Do not park in areas that are posted no parking or your vehicle will be towed. The Tide Trolleys will operate from 9 am to 11:30 am with a pause in service from 1 pm to 4 pm during the parade. The Tide Trolleys will begin operating when the parade ends and continue until 9 pm. Chairs and blankets along the parade route may not be set up on City property until 8 am on the day of the parade. The Havre de Grace Independence Day Commission has worked hard all year to make a memorable event for citizens and visitors of Havre de Grace and we look forward to celebrating another Independence Day in our City.
