Message from Mayor Martin regarding Clearing Sidewalks of Snow

Neighbors,

As you know, our usual policy asks residents and businesses to clear snow and ice from sidewalks within 24 hours after a snow event. Given the significant amount of snow and ice we’ve received, the City will not be enforcing this requirement for this storm. That said, if you are able to safely remove snow and ice, we strongly encourage you to do so. Clearing sidewalks helps keep  everyone, especially seniors, children, and those with mobility challenges, safe and able to get around our community. We also encourage everyone to follow our Good Neighbor Policy: lend a hand if you can, check in on neighbors who may need assistance, and look out for one another during this winter weather. Stay warm and stay safe.
