April is Maryland Flood Awareness Month!

Flooding is the number one natural hazard in Maryland. From the mountains in the west, across the piedmont, and down to the coastal plain that extends to the Atlantic – every year Marylanders experience flooding.  You don’t have to live near the water for your home or business to flood. Flooding can come from rainfall, a tropical storm, winter ice melt that swells rivers, nuisance flooding due to high tides, or a broken pipe. Be prepared. Be insured.  For more information go to: https://md-resiliency-partnership-maryland.hub.arcgis.com/pages/faw
