City of Havre de Grace reserves parking spots for veterans.

    For Immediate Release
    November 26, 2019
The City of Havre de Grace announced it has permanently reserved parking spots throughout the city for veteran parking.

The parking spots located along Union Avenue, Saint John Street, and the entrances of Tydings and Concord Point Parks not only welcome veterans to the City of Havre de Grace but also recognize their service to our country.

“Havre de Grace is a proud Great American Defenses Community,” said Mayor William T. Martin. “In comparison to the tremendous sacrifice our service members have made, these parking spots are just a small gesture of appreciation and sign of respect from the Citizens of Havre de Grace to the men and women who have served our nation.”

Since taking office in 2015, the Martin Administration has prioritized and supported several projects throughout Havre de Grace, which honor the U.S. Military and our nation’s warfighters. Projects include the opening of Veterans Park, significant upgrades to the war memorial at Tydings Park, and supporting the installation of The Havre de Grace Gold Star Families Memorial Monument located in Concord Point Park.
