    • Wilson St. Project:  Installation of a new water main is approximately 70% completed.
    • The next phase of the living shoreline is from Jene Roberts Park northward. The City announced an invitation to bid for a new boat ramp, bulkhead, floating pier, and parking lot on Water Street. Bids were due last Friday, and we received two bids. Both bids are in review by the City and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
    • There was a project informational presentation held last Thursday, August 11, regarding our City’s proposed storm water drainage project on Chesapeake Drive. Tim Whittie led a discussion that highlighted the benefits of residents supporting the City’s stormwater management efforts to improve the drainage ditch behind residents’ homes and ease flooding. The goal of the project is to create cascading step pools to prevent untreated stormwater and debris from flowing directly into the Chesapeake Bay. This is a project similar to the successful stormwater mitigation project that has significantly improved flooding conditions in David Craig Park.
    • DPW recently performed emergency water main repairs along State Highway 155. We’re working closely with the State Highway Administration to ensure 155 gets repaved with State funding in a timely manner.
    • During the week of August 18, Alliance Street, between S Washington and S Lodge Lane, will be under construction with sidewalk repairs.
    • Chief of Parks and Recreational Operations, John Allen, was recognized by happy Havre de Grace Citizens this week, for his proactive and exceptional work performance helping with city-wide tree maintenance.
