MAHDC Training:  Jean talked to MAHDC director Leslie Gottert and learned that their in-person training, to be resumed in the fall, costs $1000 for up to fifteen participants with the possibility of a cost share with interested people from Cecil County.  Jean has downloaded and shared the self-paced tutorial and will schedule a session for HPC to cover its basic information before the in person training although that order is not necessary.  Topics for in depth training, listed at https://mahdc.org/training-program/,  include sustainability, ethical and legal issues, community outreach, etc. and are 2.5 hours or shorter.  What interest is there in these topics?  Jean recommends the design guidelines training.  Whichever training is deemed the one for the fall, she is suggesting a vote to encumber $1000 of this year’s city allocation by June and pay for it by August to cover the cost of the MAHDC training.
