Mayor William T. Martin has appointed Tim Whittie to the position of Director of Public Works.

Mayor William T. Martin has appointed Tim Whittie to the position of Director of Public Works. The Havre de Grace City Council confirmed Mr. Whittie’s appointment at the June 17 meeting. He was sworn in by Mayor Martin on July 9.

Mr. Whittie holds a B.S in Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to his most-recent appointment by the city, Mr. Whittie has spent the last 30 years in senior-level management positions in both the private and public sector, previously serving as the Director of Public Works for Harford County and the City of Havre de Grace.

“Tim is one of the most knowledgeable and hardworking professionals I have had the privilege of working with, and I am proud to have him rejoin my team,” said Mayor Martin. “Tim has been instrumental in the modernization of our Public Works Department, and I am confident he will continue to help lead us into the future.”
