New Year’s Fireworks Canceled / Duck Drop Festivities as Planned Havre de GraceNew Year’s Fireworks Canceled / Duck Drop Festivities as Planned Due to an abundance of caution, the New Year’s fireworks display has been canceled. While rainfall is not projected for midnight, the possibility of severe weather leading up to midnight makes it hazardous for the crew on the fireworks barge. The City of Havre de Grace desires to ring in the new year with fireworks; however, doing so at the risk to the safety of others is not prudent. The Duck Drop will go on as planned and we encourage you to join in the festivities at Concord Point Park.
