PLANNING COMMISSION AND BOARD OF APPEALS

HEARING NOTICE

On Tuesday, August 4, 2020, the Havre de Grace Planning Commission will hold a Public Meeting at City Hall, 711 Pennington Avenue, within the City Council Chambers, beginning at 6:30 PM, and on Thursday, August 13, 2020, the Havre de Grace Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing at City Hall, 711 Pennington Avenue, within the City Council Chambers beginning at 7:00 PM.  The purpose of the meeting and hearing will be as follows:

1. To hear a request by Havre de Grace Urgent Care, as an applicant, for variances to the City sign Ordinance.  Wall sign and pylon sign to be located at Harbor Shops, Pulaski Hwy, Havre de Grace.
2. Permit # 20200336
   Location: North side of Pulaski Highway west of Lewis Lane
   Owner/Applicant: Richard Albertson, Havre de Grace Urgent Care, LLC
   Variance to Section 151-18B(1)(b) of the Sign Code to permit a freestanding sign to
   exceed the maximum allowed height of 10-feet (30-feet proposed) and maximum allowed
   sign area of 32-square feet (55-square feet proposed), and a variance to Section 151-
   18B(2)(b) to permit a wall sign to exceed the maximum allowed sign area of 50-feet (120-
   square feet proposed).
3. b. Permit # 20210015
   Location: South side of Granville Court west of Blenheim Farm Lane
   Owner/Applicant: Randall A. and Katy B. Shields
   Variance to Section 205-43.2.B, Table I of the City Code to allow an enclosed deck to
   encroach into the required 25-foot rear yard setback (18-feet proposed) for townhouses
   in the R/Residential District utilizing Lot Type ‘E’. The variance request requires review
   by the Planning Commission and Board of Appeals.
