    PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA

    The purpose of this session is to allow for the Council to receive public comment from the citizens concerning the tax rate and water sewer rate for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.

    Please note: residents may attend the hearing in person. The City will take all necessary and required safety precautions to address COVID-19 concerns. As such, residents entering council chambers must wear a mask and maintain social distance as required by the Governor’s order. Questions or comments submitted to the City in writing in advance of the meeting will be read into the record by the Mayor.

    3. Ordinance No. 1052 – An ordinance fixing the tax rate for the fiscal year July 1, 2021 to June 30,
    2022 and providing an additional special tax levied within the critical area special taxing district and setting the service charge for the semi-annual property tax payment option. (CM Robertson)

    AN ORDINANCE BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF HAVRE DE GRACE, MARYLAND, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY PROVIDED BY THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND TAX-PROPERTY ARTICLE TITLE 6 AND THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ARTICLE OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND, FIXING THE TAX RATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2021 TO JUNE 30, 2022 ON EACH ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) OF ASSESSABLE REAL PROPERTY, PERSONAL PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING AN ADDITIONAL SPECIAL TAX LEVIED WITHIN THE CRITICAL AREA SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT AND SETTING THE SERVICE CHARGE FOR THE SEMI-ANNUAL PROPERTY TAX PAYMENT OPTION.
