Road Closures & No Parking for Independence Day Celebration on July 6, 2024 Havre de GraceRoad Closures & No Parking for Independence Day Celebration on July 6, 2024 The Havre de Grace Independence Day Parade and Fireworks will be on Saturday, July 6th, with the parade starting at 2 pm. There will be no parking along the parade route from 11 am-6 pm. The parade route is along Union Avenue from Warren Street to Commerce Street. In the area of Concord Point Lighthouse, there will be no parking from 11 am-midnight; in this area there will be food trucks, the Maryland Military Band, and fireworks. Below is a map showing all the areas that will be affected by no parking and areas that will be blocked by barricades, police, and event staff. You need to expect heavy traffic, so leave early, and try to carpool with family or friends. Park in an area further away and walk. Do not park in areas that are posted no parking, your vehicle will be towed. The City of Havre de Grace will have the Tide Trolleys in operation from 9am-9pm with a pause in service from 1 pm-4 pm during the parade. The Havre de Grace Independence Day Commission has worked hard all year to make a memorable event for citizens and visitors of Havre de Grace. Do not set up chairs and blankets along the parade route on City property until 8 am on the day of the parade. You will see a significant police presence during the Independence Day Celebration. We do this to ensure the safety of our City and all of our visitors who come to enjoy a family friendly patriotic celebration. When you see an officer, be sure to say hello!
